The Think 20 (T20) community came together at the CCK in Buenos Aires on 17 and 18 September to participate in the T20 Summit. At the event, engagement group officials presented the Communiqué, containing its vision and public policy recommendations, to the president of Argentina Mauricio Macri.
There were a number of topics addressed at the Summit, one of which was the future of politics which was discussed in 9 sessions and events. The participants in the plenary session were Blair Sheppard (PwC), Simon Hix (London School of Economics), Michael Hershman (Center for International Private Enterprise) and Julia Pomares (CIPPEC). The moderator for the session was Sonia Jalfin (Sociopúblico).
The conversation aimed to draw up the best possible setting for the future of politics. The panelists shared their opinion on different topics, such as the preparation of political systems to govern a digital economy, if they foresee more or less European integration, the consequences of an automated world for global governance, what the role of the G20 will be and how emerging countries can benefit from multilateral cooperation.
