Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture, one of the main topics at the T20 Summit

The Think 20 community will come together in Buenos Aires on 17 and 18 September to share its public policy recommendations with the Argentine G20 presidency and discuss global governance topics.

Experts from 60 countries will participate on Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 of September in the T20 Summit, the final event of the engagement group in which the institutions that preside the Think 20 will hand over the Communiqué to the Argentine G20 presidency, a document that contains the group’s vision on global governance and the public policy recommendations.

Additionally, the experts will discuss the priorities of the Argentine T20 and G20 presidency, such as food security and sustainable agriculture.

The T20 Summit’s agenda of Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture:

  • Articulating Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture: David Laborde (International Food Policy Research Institute), Eugenio Díaz-Bonilla (International Food Policy Research Institute), Hugo Chavarría (Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture), Jaron Porciello (Cornell University), moderator Valeria Piñeiro (International Food Policy Research Institute).
  • Sustainable Food Systems and Trade: Rob Vos (International Food Policy Research Institute), Martín Piñeiro (CARI) and Máximo Torero (World Bank). Moderator: David Laborde (International Food Policy Research Institute)
